Dr. Mary George, Dentist

Dr. Mary George, a native Houstonian, was born and raised in Sugar Land. She graduated from IH Kempner HS, and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science from Houston Baptist University. She double majored in Biology and Business Administration and has always had a passion and love for dentistry.

Her career in dentistry started almost 15 years ago, when she worked in dental research at the University of Texas Houston School of Dentistry. She is a graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC- where she received several academic scholarships and awarded the Dean’s List for Academic Excellence. She then returned home and completed two additional years of advanced dental training at the UT Health School of Dentistry (GPR, AEGD). Her General Practice Residency training was in hospital dentistry, affiliated with Memorial Hermann Hospital of the Houston Medical Center. There she provided care for severe dental cases under sedation (general anesthesia)- focusing on medically compromised and special needs patients; a service she is truly passionate about. She currently still holds hospital privileges there, and continues to provide dental treatment there.  As Chief Resident of her second residency, in Advanced General Dentistry, she focused on cosmetic care and restoring patient’s dental function. She was retained as faculty, and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Houston School of Dentistry. She serves as the Post Graduate Clinical Director of both General Dental Residency Programs (AEGD & GPR).

Dr. George has a genuine passion for providing the best dental care for her patients and enjoys giving back. This desire is what led her to seek advanced training, and began teaching.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending time outdoors with her husband, Tony and daughter Eliana.
